"We can't solve problems by using the same kind of thinking

we used when we created them"

Albert Einstein

We are seeing a level of innovation in our world that rivals that of the industrial revolution and the internet is providing us a front row seat. When thinking creatively, one need only to look as far as the nearest computer screen for inspiration.

If you come across a website that inspires you. contact me at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it and I'll add it to my list.

Here are a few of my favorite links that have either inspired me or provoked deeper thinking...

CLIMATECOUNTS.ORG

http://climatecounts.org/

Everyone's talking about global warming, but what can you personally do about it? When you buy from companies taking responsibility for climate change, you're sending a message that climate change matters to you.

Not all companies share that sense of responsibility. But if they know you're paying attention to what they're doing (or not doing), they'll take action.

As a consumer, you have real power. USE IT.

ILOVEMOUNTAINS.ORG

http://www.ilovemountains.org/myconnection/

MOUNTAIN TOP REMOVAL is a radical form of coal mining in which entire mountains and its inhabitants (birds, hibernating bears, deer, etc) are literally blown up -- and it is happening here in America on a scale that is almost unimaginable. Mountaintop removal is devastating hundreds of square miles of Appalachia; polluting the headwaters of rivers that provide drinking water to millions of Americans; and destroying a distinctly American culture that has endured for generations. Though the Appalachia mountains are thousands of miles from Nevada City, our energy use here is a contributing factor to this terrible decimation.

Just by turning on a light switch we are participating in mountain top removal. To verify this visit http://www.ilovemountains.org/myconnection and put in your zip code. You can also check out Google Earth on this site and see for your own eyes what we are doing to these mountains.
