We need a new vision of what this community can be as well as honoring what it has been. If Nevada City is going to be viable in the sustainable economy of the future, we need to start planning now. I envision a Nevada City that puts the emphasis on supporting our local economy so that it benefits all sectors of our community. I want to encourage a new breed of entrepreneurs that know how to implement sustainable practices. I envision a community of innovators in renewable energy, green building, sustainable agriculture, and independent businesses.
